Scooby & Pretty Boy

Scooby & Pretty Boy are both male cockatails. Scooby is yellow and very friendly. Scooby was a gift from our childrens Mema. What Mema's Grandbabies want Mema Gets. Scooby has the most attraction in me (Mom / Wife). Every time I go to clean out the cage, Scooby walks over to me and looks with a side winder. He love kisses and his head rubbed.

Pretty Boy is a very unique grey & white cockatail. He was found out in the streets about 10-12 years ago. He has a few physical problems such as a hump in his back and a curled foot. He can still get around just like other cockatails, he just cant purch with balance. He lived at my mothers house most of his life with his friend Pee Wee whom past away from old age. Pretty Boy was so unique because he was one of the very few cockatails who could talk ( "Hello, and Pretty Boy" ). He always had some kind of special bond with kids. When a kid would walk over to his cage he would walk over, stoop his head low, and whistle a song. We could never figure out what the song was, but it seemed really nice. Pretty Boy ended up living with us due to the bond he had with our younger daughter. Our daughter would go over to my mother's (Mema) house and pull a chair over to where Pretty Boy was and sit there for hours. Then Mema to her to take him home with her.

Pretty Boy made himself right at home with Scooby. They love to swing on their swing in their cage and look in mirrors. My husband gets nervouse when the birds climb on him to sit on his shoulder. Ever time he would turn to look at them they would peck at him. Their pecks are fast and feel like a tickle.

Cockatiels are very good birds. when I was younger we use to breed cockatail and hand feed them. They were fed baby cereal with a syringe. Hand Fed cockatails are the best ones to get if you would consider one for a family pet. They are more people friendly because of dependancy of people caring for them. You can only find hand fed cockatails from a private seller or a small independant pet shop. Clipping of their flight feathers restricts their ability to fly and also calms them down. They have a good sence on who they will trust. They can have a hard bite if felt threatend.
