Rocky

Rocky was our first ferret, my wife had ferrets when she was young and knows how to care for them. We all immediately fell in love with Rocky, our children would play with him and help feed him.

Rocky is very adventurous, he likes to explore which is normal for ferrets. On one occasion his adventures lead him out of our house. We had signs posted around the neighborhood with a picture of him as we searched for him. Luckily Rocky found a neighbor several doors up from our house and she let him in and cared for him. The next day my wife found Rocky with the neighbor and brought him home. After bringing Rocky home we double checked our house and made sure it was ferret proof, and limited his exploring to the living room. We then decided that Rocky needed a friend.

Rocky loves to suggle up with our children while they sleep. He also shows a lot of affection when our children get hurt or sick. It is as if he sences when they are sad.  In the picture above is Blaze, our black Lab dog. Blaze is giving Rocky one of his kisses. He really has an attatchment with Rocky. They go way back.
