We have 4 ferrets that are part of our family; our children love them very much. We also have a dog "Blaze", who enjoys playing with the ferrets. Ferrets are kept in cages, but can also be left to roam around to play in ferret proof areas. We have a piece of plexiglass blocking our living room from the rest of the house. We let our ferrets play in the living room, they enjoy running and playing with everyone in the house. Ferrets love exploring and they can hide and find themselves in places that are difficult to retrieve them. This can be dangerous for ferrets, so always make sure that the area is ferret proof.
